AKBP Dody Denies Claims Inspector General Teddy Wants to Trap Linda in a Drug Case

Jakarta

Former West Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Teddy Minahasa admitted that initially he introduced the former Bukittinggi Police Chief AKBP Dody Prawiranegara with Linda Pujiastuti alias Anita to frame Linda. The claim was later denied by Dody.

This was conveyed by Dody when he became a witness in the drug trafficking trial with the defendants Linda and Kasranto at the West Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (1/3/2023). Dody revealed this when the public prosecutor (JPU) asked about the plan to frame Linda.

“Regarding the traps, did you talk to Teddy Minahasa about the plan and so on?” asked one of the prosecutors.

“All Teddy Minahasa are lying,” said Dody.

Dody said that Teddy never talked about any traps. In fact, Dody asked back if the police were allowed to frame people. Dody said the police could not do that.

“None of them talked about trapping, whatever the story, is it okay for the police to frame people now?” explained Doddy.

“‘I don’t like Anita’, I made ‘this dude is a jerk and so on, was framed’. Is it okay now? Not allowed, sir,” he continued.

The prosecutor then emphasized Dody’s answer regarding the entrapment. Dody again replied that Teddy had never spoken to him about trapping.

“You mean never?” asked the prosecutor.

“Never, sir. I taught my subordinates, ‘Don’t you all trap people,'” he replied.

“Offered a warrant of all kinds?” the prosecutor asked again.

“No sir” he said.

Previously, Teddy admitted that he introduced Dody to Linda to frame Linda. The reason, Teddy was ashamed because he felt deceived by false information about drugs.

This was conveyed by Teddy when he was in court in a drug case with defendants AKBP Dody and Linda at the West Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (1/3/2023). Teddy is also a defendant in a drug case. He was tried in a separate file.

“Brother, what do you mean by Dody’s relationship with Linda?” asked the judge.

“The trick scenario is that, Your Honor, it’s the one who pranked Linda,” Teddy answered.

The judge then asked Inspector General Teddy’s reason for trapping Linda. Teddy then brought up the events of 2019, namely the failed operation to uncover drug cases in the South China Sea because information from Linda turned out to be bogus.

“I am taking back the events in 2019, Your Honor. I was there, not only was I personally disappointed, I was also embarrassed, I also lost materially,” said Teddy.

“On that ship I have a lot of troops, Your Majesty. I am ashamed of my honor in front of my men, how come you have been lied to like this, a two-star general,” he continued.

Teddy said that Linda claimed to be an informant on international drug networks and prisons. He admitted that Linda’s confession was the entrance to a trap.

“Then the person concerned admitted to being an international informant. Then in the chat he said he had a prison network. That’s where I entered to work on him,” said Teddy.

The judge then asked about Teddy’s order to Dody to frame Linda. Teddy replied that he had not given any formal orders.

“It means that there was an order to Dody regarding the trapping?” asked the judge.

“There is no official order, I just share business cards and I say it like that,” said Teddy.

Teddy said trapping was used to make Dody continue as Bukittinggi Police Chief at that time. He claimed he wanted to make Dody get an award.

“I imagine this is Dody’s opportunity to get an achievement. As for the file, I will propose it again and I will negotiate with the National Police Chief to remain a male police officer serving in Bukittinggi,” said Dody.

“Then from there I gave Dody the opportunity to ‘trap this person’,” he continued.

Teddy directs Dody to frame Linda with the evidence in the prosecutor’s possession.

“So, regarding BB (evidence) you can coordinate with the prosecutor, if that’s allowed, but if it’s not allowed, then that’s it,” he said.
