The National Police’s Professional and Security Division (Propam) revealed the results of Raden’s trial Brotoseno, former Kanit V Sub-Directorate III of the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, who was caught in a bribery case several years ago. The National Police’s Propam Division confirmed that the decision of the National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) against Brotoseno was final.
“The result of Enforcement of Forms of Violation of KEPP AKBP R Brotoseno is not carrying out his duties professionally, proportionally and procedurally in the form of actions while serving as Kanit V Subdit III Dittipidkor Bareskrim Polri, namely accepting bribes from suspects in suspected corruption cases,” said Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, in a written statement, Monday (30/5/2022).
Ferdy explained that the KKEP trial with the decision number PUT/72/X/2020, 13 October 2020, stated that Brotoseno legally and convincingly proven to have committed a violation. He was charged with multiple charges.
“Violating Article 7 paragraph (1) letter b, Article 7 paragraph (1) letter c, Article 13 paragraph (1) letter a, Article 13 paragraph (1) letter e of Police Chief Regulation Number 14 on KEPP,” said Ferdy.
Propam imposes sanctions, where Brotoseno must apologize before the KKEP trial assembly and/or express a written apology to the National Police Chief. Brotoseno was also sentenced to demotion and transferred to a different position from his previous position.
“And sanctioned in the form of violators’ behavior declared as a disgraceful act, the violator’s obligation to apologize verbally before the KKEP trial and/or in writing to the leadership of the National Police and it is recommended that he be transferred to a different position which is demotional,” explained Ferdy.
He explained that the National Police Propam consideration did not impose a dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) on Brotoseno. First, because of the release of Brotoseno’s briber, Haris Arthur Haidir, at the cassation level.
“The results of the Decision of the Police Code of Ethics Commission took into account the following matters, a series of incidents of bribery of AKBP R. Brotoseno from another convict an. Haris Arthur Haidir (briber) in the Cassation hearing was declared acquitted (2018); Decision Number :1643-K/ pidsus/2018, 14-11-2018,” explained the former Director of General Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Department.
