Akasha Air to conquer the sky; Let’s fly here

RaAkash Air is planning to start international service soon by adding strength to the aviation sector. The plan is to launch services to major destinations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Akasha is currently awaiting approval from the governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait to start the service. Akasha Air CEO Vinay Dubey said that it is expected to be able to start the service in two to three months. Akasha Air also plans to expand its service across the Middle East and Southeast Asia, covering destinations such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Maldives. 20 aircraft were in service within a year of the start of operations in August 2022. Airlines are required to have at least 20 aircraft to qualify for international services.

In the last six months, Aaksha Air has increased the number of its pilots. With more than 150 pilots inducted into the team, the total number is more than 500. A few months ago, Akasha was in a crisis with pilots resigning and joining other airlines. Vinay Dubey also said that since Aaksha filed the case against the pilots, there have been no resignations of the pilots.

Akasha plans to expand its service to 76 aircraft by mid-2027. An announcement may be made in January regarding the placing of new orders for additional aircraft. Akasha Air aims to increase the number of aircraft from the existing 22 to 25 by March and double the number of aircraft by the end of the next financial year.
