Libreville, Thursday, June 8, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The new structure located within the commercial complex of the Cité de la SNI was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by Christian Patrick Ebe, Secretary General of the Ministry of the Economy.
The tax authorities are getting closer to users with the commissioning of the brand new Akanda Tax Center. Housed in the commercial complex of the Cité de la SNI, this structure was inaugurated during a ceremony chaired by Christian Patrick Ebe, Secretary General of the Ministry of the Economy, in the presence of Yvon Patrick Rombougouera, local mayor . “The opening of the Akanda tax center (…) is part of a vast process of reforms aimed at providing our country with a modern tax administration, capable of meeting the government’s expectations in terms of collecting public revenue” said Gabin Otha Ndoumba, Director General of Taxes.
This rapprochement of the administration through the commissioning of this new center aims to simplify the payment of taxes due to the State for taxpayers. In its area of competence, the Akanda Tax Center covers an area of 1,560 m² including the Jade Gardens Roundabout in Cape Esterias. Namely, the districts Airport, Mikolongo, Cité des Ailes, Okala, Avorbam, Angondjé, Sablière, Marseille 2, Cité Amissa, Ibekelya, Akouango, Village Sékiani, Sifala, Miyondo, Cap Estérias, Cap Santa clara, Mamboumba. To be added to this list, medium-sized enterprises whose turnover is between 60 million F and less than 1.5 billion F; small businesses with a turnover of 30 million F and less than 1.5 billion F and subject to the synthetic discharge tax (ISL).
According to the Directorate General of Taxes, individuals, employees and natural persons with income or engaged in activities of a lucrative nature also come under the said center. 86 agents working in 30 brand new offices are at the service of users.
