Libreville, Tuesday, June 6, 2023 (Gabon Info) – The land situation in this commune was on the menu of an audience granted yesterday by President of the Republic, Ali Bongo Ondimba, to the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Olivier Abel Nang Ekomiye.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Olivier Abel Nang Ekomiye, went yesterday to take stock of the land situation in the commune of Akanda to the Head of State yesterday, Ali Bongo Ondimba. The two personalities addressed during their exchanges the question related to the organization and the actions to be carried out with a view to the regulation of the plots in the said municipality. “During this exchange between the Head of State and the member of the government, the question relating to the imminent arrival of the Chinese Minister of Housing accompanied by a group of experts was also discussed. It will be for the two counterparts of the habitat department who initialed a Memorandum in Beijing last April during the stay of His Excellency Ali Bongo Ondimba, to work in synergy and to deepen this new cooperation between the two countries”, informs a press release from the Gabonese presidency.
On the occasion, the Minister of Housing and Town Planning expressed his desire to materialize the social policy of the Head of State in terms of housing. “He mentioned the development work on 102 plots, carried out by the National Real Estate Company (SNI) as part of the first phase of the Accelerated Home Ownership Program (PAAP) as well as the launch of phase 2 of the said project with the production of 200 new plots and the construction of 100 housing units,” the statement continues.
Indeed, the National Real Estate Company (SNI) launched on July 15, 2022 on its Bikélé-Nzong site, the Accelerated Home Ownership Program (PAAP), which responds to the recommendations of the “land reform” task force. , with a view to accelerating access to property and making it easier for citizens to acquire titled and fully serviced plots, with conveniences such as water, electricity and roads.
