Two policemen from the Yodogawa Police Station in Osaka were punished for covering up a traffic violation despite driving a patrol car in the wrong direction. The data from the on-board camera that recorded the breach was deleted, but the audio data of the conversation such as “Akan, I will delete the video” remained on another device.
A 41-year-old assistant police inspector and a 26-year-old police chief, both of whom worked at the regional division of the Yodogawa Police Station, were killed.
