Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was held at the university’s headquarters, in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and members of the Council, His Highness praised the levels that the university has reached in various academic, research and scientific fields, as one of the distinguished and pioneering institutions of higher education in the region and the world, to achieve its mission. By graduating generations and leaders with a high level of education.
His Highness, the Crown Prince of Ajman, was briefed on a number of the university’s achievements in various fields, which reflect the quality of its educational outcomes, after it rose to twenty-second place, according to the QS Foundation for University Rankings in the Arab Region for the year 2024, thus achieving a remarkable progress of five places, compared to last year. .
The university also achieved another achievement, after 11 members of its faculty were included in Stanford University’s list of the top 2 scientists in the world for the year 2023… a list that includes an elite group of researchers who have scientific publications with high citations. Ajman University won the “Excellence Award” from the National Center for Health Research in the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and was ranked among the top 10 institutions in the country in the categories of health research and medical research.
During the meeting, the university’s efforts to prepare students for the labor market were highlighted, which is the focal point of its strategic plan 2022-2027, and this commitment was embodied through its launch of the “Career Excellence Initiative.”
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said that these distinguished achievements clearly reflect Ajman University’s firm commitment to providing high-quality educational and academic programs, so that it has become a prominent beacon in the field of education globally, noting the university’s efforts to achieve excellence in the field of education and scientific research, by adopting Pioneering visions, aiming to prepare a generation of graduates with academic excellence and applicable leadership skills in the labor market. The meeting witnessed reviewing the reports of the heads of the standing committees of the Board of Trustees regarding academic, financial and audit affairs, in addition to community communication.
The Council discussed many topics related to various educational, academic and administrative aspects at Ajman University, and adopted a number of policies that will contribute to achieving the university’s aspirations.
