Trainer Johnny Jansen knows the role of sc Heerenveen Sunday afternoon against the leader Ajax, but certainly sees opportunities for his team. The trainer of the Frisians hopes to be able to create danger against Erik ten Hag’s team, especially in the switch.
Jansen liked the international match well. The trainer has come to rest well and is looking forward to the resumption against leader Ajax. “I was glad we didn’t have to go to the stadium for a few days”, Jansen begins in conversation with Omrop Fryslan.
That Ajax is the favorite on Sunday afternoon in the Abe Lenstra Stadium needs no further explanation for Jansen. Yet he does not think his team has no chance at all. “Against Ajax there are always possibilities to be able to counter. We have a completely different quality of players. But whoever you play with, you have to fight the opponent.”
Despite the fact that Jansen calls Ajax ‘the best team in the Netherlands’, he looks forward to meeting the team from Amsterdam with a good feeling. “There are always times when you can do it, but you have to put pressure on the ball from a compact organization.” Heerenveen-Ajax starts on Sunday afternoon at 4.45 p.m.
