The CAS will rule on the doping suspension of Andre Onana. The Cameroonian goalkeeper is currently out of a one-year suspension due to taking a water pill.
It CASE has informed by e-mail that the Onana case is planned in two weeks. After Ajax Hearing about the duration of Onana’s suspension in February, the club already made it clear that it would appeal. So on Wednesday June 2 it will be announced whether the duration of the suspension will be adjusted, or whether Onana ‘just’ has to serve his remaining sentence.
Onana may have already played his last match for Ajax, even if his suspension is shortened. The goalkeeper is still in Amsterdam until mid-2022, but cannot reach an agreement with Ajax about a contract extension. As a result, the champion of the Eredivisie Onana reportedly selling it next summer.
