Gerry Hamstra admits it is difficult to say no to the dynamics of the transfer market.
Manchester United’s opportunity to get Antony from Ajax Amsterdam is open again in the transfer market this summer after the management of the Dutch giant said it did not rule out losing the player.
Antony is said to be a United target following the departure of Erik ten Hag from the Amsterdam Arena to Old Trafford. Ten Hag had previously brought Lisandro Martinez, who was his foster child at Ajax.

Despite trying to keep players from being targeted by other clubs, Ajax technical manager Gerry Hamstra admits he cannot ensure the Brazilian player remains in Amsterdam.
“We want to keep this team together. I assume no one will leave this team again,” Hamstra said in an interview with Football International.
“Of course, you can never say no, and I understand that now. But we also talk to players, and have conversations, including to players who might want to leave. Ajax players are interested [dengan tawaran klub lain]that’s logical.”
Hamstra understands if there are players who want to leave the club. However, Hamstra is not worried that they will lose strength, because Ajax still has many players with qualified qualities.
“We have good capital on the pitch, and they are players who have developed themselves with us. We always focus on that,” added Hamstra.
“It’s not much different with players like [Steven] mountain wine, [Owen] Wijndal, dan [Calvin] Bassey. We will show what we have done.”
“There are also players who want to go to a higher level, considering they have never played with us. There are many things we need to do. We’ll see in the next few weeks.”
United had made a bid of £ 52 million to bring Antony. But the Ajax camp asked for a transfer fee of £ 68 million. This made Antony reportedly angry, because he thought that Ajax management made it difficult for him to move to Old Trafford.
