The Women’s Champions League MVP award has been awarded by Visa since 2019 to the best player in each final.

Jackie Willcox from VISA explained: “We congratulate Aitana Bonmatí for her victory. One of the main reasons why we sponsor women’s football is to promote gender equality and social inclusion, so we are delighted that Aitana has chosen to deliver our donation to a charity that shares these goals “.

Adil Izemrane, co-founder of Movimiento on the Ground, thanked VISA and Aitana Bonmatí for the donation and commented that “It will allow many more refugee girls to have a safe place to practice sports and forget, for a few hours a week, the situation they live in the largest refugee camp in Europe”.

Aitana Bonmati was featured in the Women’s Champions League final by scoring one of FC Barcelona’s 4 goals against Chelsea in Gothenburg, Sweden.
