With this tool, it will make it easier for the COVID-19 mortuary team to handle positive confirmed patients or patients who died from Covid without much direct contact with bodies exposed to Covid-19.
This was conveyed by the director of the Aisyiyah Hospital, Dr. Hilal Aryadi, after the symbolic handover and demonstration of the funeral simulation of the corpse from the IT Telkom Surabaya academic community, represented by the Vice Chancellor II IT Telkom Surabaya Agus Sulistiya in the 3rd floor hall of the RSA.
“We are happy with this assistance, because with this tool it will be very helpful for the recovery team at our hospital or the so-called Cambodian team because it can make it easier for staff to reduce direct contact with corpses,” said Hilal Aryadi, Saturday (05/06/2021) .
Hilal explained, because the body is positive for infectious Covid-19, the security of the officers is the main priority, so this tool is very helpful.
“So that officers do not come into direct contact with the corpse and with this tool is a solution that is quite helpful for the safety of officers. Because it serves to move the corpse from the bed, then get into the ambulance, to insert the corpse into all the holes, “he explained.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor 2 Agus Sulistiya said that this ITTelkom Surabaya corpse revolving crane had also been a winner at the 2020 ideathon organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Technology and also passed the 2020 innovation service program from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.
“The corpse revolving crane that we have submitted is the latest version 3.0 which is more effective and efficient. It only takes 38 seconds to lower the coffin to the grave which is controlled by a joystick with a maximum strength of 1300 kg,” he said.
In detail, the dimensions of the stretcher of this tool are adjusted to the size of the ambulance so that the coffin can be carried from the hospital to the cemetery without dismantling the stretcher.
“To make it easier to get into the ambulance, the legs of the stretcher can be folded. Thus, the coffin can be lowered into the grave automatically using a motorbike,” he explained.
Then for the driving component, the Pemulasaraan Crane uses a 120 Volt DC gearbox motor. And has a maximum load of 1300 kilograms. This tool is also equipped with a joystick.
