Aishwarya Lakshmi shines not only in Malayalam but also in other languages. After a long hiatus, Aishwarya also appeared in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1. The Telugu film Ammu, in which the actress played the lead role, received a good response in OTT. Mala Parvathy played the role of Aishwarya’s mother in the film. Mala says Aishwarya was experiencing the character. Ammu, with a domestic violence theme, is directed by Charukesh Shekhar. The film also stars Naveen Chandra, Bobby Simha, Raja Ravindran and Anjali Ameer.

Aishwarya Lakshmi is very beautiful inside and out. I loved seeing her become ‘mom’. She was so into that character. Being her mother was so beautiful and easy. He was natural and unique. Aishwarya fills Ammu, Aishwarya lives in that character. It is not surprising that women who have experienced this violence identify with Amuda.
Ammu helps many to heal deep and bitter wounds and all credits Charukesh for the conviction of what he means. He had clear ideas about what he meant and how to make Ammu. His vision was very precise and clear. While filming, I was amazed to be a part of Ammu. Directors like him will make this world better and safer. These stories are not easy to tell, especially when patriarchy reigns. Educating minds is hard work. But the artist in him has a natural way of doing it. Ammu’s cast and crew were excellent.
