Airtel Digital TV Announces New Partnership with Amazon

Airtel Digital TV, the Indian television provider, has announced that they are partnering with Amazon Prime, in an attempt to offer more live TV channels. Subscribers also gain access to several Prime benefits as part of the Ultimate Plan. Those who subscribe can enjoy entertainment from Prime Video across two different devices, at any one time. This is in addition to standard HD TV channels. Subscribers also receive free next-day delivery on a range of products, as well as early access to lightning deals.

Airtel’s Progress with 5G

Airtel partnering with a global titan like Amazon is huge news. Considering that they conducted the first cloud gaming session in a 5G environment within the country, it’s clear they have big plans for the future of entertainment. 5G is also essential for live gaming, something that is rapidly gaining traction as people gravitate towards more immersive experiences. For example, Blackjack at Paddy Power now offers 25 live blackjack games to choose from, including Live Quantum Blackjack Plus and First Person Blackjack. Both options feature live dealers but require a stable internet connection for the full experience.

Additionally, platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime offer different cloud-based games, including RPG’s. These can be played on a tablet, but once again, a fast and stable internet connection is crucial. Airtel’s push for 5G has helped to solidify them as a tech giant, committed to the future of both streaming and gaming. When you take this into account, their partnership with Amazon makes perfect sense.

It’s not just gaming that benefits from 5G. 4K streaming from sites like Netflix also becomes more convenient with faster internet speeds. Moreover, those who work from home can also access the files they need and download data without long waiting times.

Airtel’s support of 5G has helped lay the foundation for their partnership with Amazon: without a stable and fast internet connection, people wouldn’t be able to stream live TV on the go, play games on the platform, or access the new television channels, shutting many users out of the new offerings.

Amazon is Committed to Mobile Entertainment

Both Airtel and Amazon have shown that they are committed to mobile entertainment, and are attempting to expand their TV offerings by providing customers with anytime access to several shows. Airtel has said that they want to complement their diverse range of home entertainment services and that they can’t wait to give their users maximum value.

Amazon has also released a statement saying that they are always looking for ways to expand their distribution pipelines, while finding ways to offer their movies and shows to a wider audience. The collaboration with Airtel makes sense, as it helps provide seamless access to Prime Video’s content while ensuring that unlimited and next-day delivery is offered across millions of products. With early access to deals included in the package, it shows that Amazon’s quest for global domination within the entertainment market is becoming more apparent.

As the years go by, more countries are gaining access to their huge catalog of shows, making entertainment more inclusive and diverse. New opportunities also arise from such partnerships, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Amazon create niche markets to reflect its intense growth strategy.
