Airport: New signage concept for Orlando

Complete digital signage concept at Orlando International Airport: The new Terminal C with 15 gates will open in September. In the future, passengers will be accompanied by information screens from ticketing to the boarding gates. A total of around 874 displays in various formats and shapes are networked via Synect’s digital signage platform Passenger360, which processes and automatically displays flight data in real time.

The screens should fit seamlessly into MCO’s design concept. Large video walls, smaller displays and LED strips are distributed throughout the terminal. Synect developed the branded content for the Passenger360 system in cooperation with the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA). The platform is said to be able to process thousands of changes per second, including flight or weather changes. The content strategy also includes live action video from Orlando and the Central Florida region, animations, signposts and seasonal festivals. Travel information is accompanied by videos to make the content visually appealing and entertaining.
