If you want to use the new update right away, we unfortunately have some bad news. It is a feature that currently only works when using the iOS 14 or tvOS 14 beta. If you are still on the standard firmware, then it remains to be seen. Ultimately, it concerns the update 3A283. With this update you get two important additions. First of all, you have the option of using Spatial Audio. This gives you more of a direction where sound comes from. Ideal when you watch an exciting movie with your AirPods Pro or play games with it. In addition, it is possible to use automatic device switching. This is useful when you have connected the device to both an iPhone and an iPad.

If you have the AirPods Pro and are using iOS 14 beta, you can try using Spatial Audio. To do this, go to your control center and hold the volume bar there for a while. There you have the option to switch Noise Cancellation and Spatial Audio on and off. And in that way experience what is different.

The only downside is that you can’t choose whether to use the firmware in. This happens automatically.
