From what you write, the problem seems to be related to the Spotify app, so I invite you to start by going to the App store, click on your profile icon at the top right of the App Store and then check that no update is available for Spotify.
Force restart iPhone and reset your AirPods There are also good steps to take, even if you only have the problem with Spotify.
