This year, Christmas will fall on… November 8 for international airlines. The date on which the borders of the United States will reopen to vaccinated and previously tested travelers from 33 countries, after nineteen months of closure. With the end of the “travel ban”, it is indeed the first international air transport market to take over – and one of the most important sources of profit for the major airlines – which is reopening its doors.
No other destination drains as much international air traffic as the United States. In 2019, before the crisis, 244 million international passengers took one of the 1.8 million international flights to or from the United States.
