Airlines Expect to Carry Record 4.35 Billion Passengers in 2023 with Potential $10 Billion Profits

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) revealed that airlines expect to carry 4.35 billion passengers around the world during the current year, which is close to the record level recorded in 2019 before the pandemic spread, of 4.54 billion passengers.

The International Air Transport Association stated that this recovery comes with China reopening its borders, and expects airlines to achieve profits that may reach about $ 10 billion in 2023, twice its previous expectations.

IATA cut its 2022 loss estimate by 50%, to $3.6 billion.
