PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI officially launched KA Airlangga with the route of Pasar Senen Jakarta-Pasar Turi Surabaya starting today, Friday (1/10).
“Airlangga train is here to be an alternative for people who will travel,” said Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation of the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation Danto Restyawan in an official statement, Friday (1/10).
This route is operated with fares starting at IDR 49 thousand per passenger for a distance of 0-290 kilometers (km). Meanwhile, above 290 km, a tariff of IDR 104 thousand per passenger will be charged.
Prospective passengers can buy Airlangga train tickets through the KAI Access application, the KAI website, counters, and all other sales channels.
Airlangga train departure schedule from Pasar Senen Station starts at 11.30 and arrives at Pasar Turi Station at 23.00.
Meanwhile, Airlangga train departs from Pasar Turi Station at 12.25 and arrives at Pasar Senen Station at 00.10.
The Airlangga train series consists of 8 economy trains with a total of 848 seats. However, according to the PPKM period, the current capacity is only 74 seats per train or a total of 592 seats.
