‘Aircraft for evacuation of Dutch civilians landed in Wuhan’ NOW

The plane left Paris last night and will fly back to Europe in the course of Sunday. In addition to the group of Dutch people, citizens from Belgium, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Slovakia will also travel. The Belgian government announced this on Friday. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that work is currently being done on evacuation of the Dutch, but nothing else can be definitively confirmed.

The plane will first fly to France on Sunday, according to the Belgian authorities. The aircraft then continues to the Melsbroek military airport near Brussels. The Dutch go to the Netherlands after arrival in Belgium. They are allowed to quarantine at home, on condition that their house is suitable for this. This is evident from the exchange of e-mails between a Dutch citizen stranded in Wuhan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is not known how many Dutch people are being evacuated. First there was talk of a group of 23 Dutch people, but a few have indicated that they want to stay in Wuhan.

Deadly Coronavirus increased to 304

The death toll as a result of the coronavirus outbreak has risen to 304 victims. The Chinese health committee announced this on Sunday. On Saturday, February 1, 45 new fatalities were caused by the new virus, all in the Hubei province. Of the 45 deceased, 32 have fallen in the capital Wuhan.

The number of confirmed infections in China has risen to 14,380, an increase of more than 2,500 cases. Outside of China, a total of 132 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in 23 countries until Saturday.
