Airbus is unable to deliver the commercial aircraft needed for 2022

Airbus, the world’s largest European aircraft manufacturer, has announced that it is unable to meet its target of delivering around 700 commercial aircraft in 2022, due to the challenging operating environment.

It added that it still targets adjusted operating profit of about 5.5 billion euros ($5.7 billion) in 2022, while free cash flow before mergers and customer financing is expected to be 4.5 billion. euros ($4.74 billion).

And it indicated that it will publish full-year 2022 commercial aircraft orders and shipments on Jan. 10, 2023, and full-year results on Feb. 16, 2023.

Airbus previously announced the delivery of 68 commercial aircraft last November, bringing annual deliveries to 565 aircraft, and also recorded 29 new orders and 14 cancellations in November, bringing the accumulated aircraft number to 7,344 aircraft.
