Jakarta

The Airbus A220-300 aircraft visited Indonesia in a series of demonstration tours in Southeast Asia. This passenger plane has a number of advantages.

Before landing in Indonesia, AirBus A220-300 participated in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA). Next, from Jakarta, he will fly to Bangkok for a demonstration flight to Koh Samui.

AirBus A220 is claimed to be the most modern when compared to other aircraft in the same size category. It comes in two versions, namely the -100 variant which can carry 100 to 130 passengers and the larger -300 variant with a capacity of 130 to 160 passengers with a similar seat layout.

The aircraft has a range of up to 3,450 nautical miles (6,400 km). This capability allows the airline to serve all domestic routes in Indonesia on a point-to-point non-stop basis.

The aircraft can also serve international routes to various high-traffic destinations such as the Australian cities of Sydney and Melbourne, as well as Mumbai and Beijing.

The A220 delivers 25% more efficient fuel consumption and carbon emissions when compared to previous generation aircraft of a similar size. The aircraft is powered by the latest generation Pratt & Whitney PW1500G turbofan engine.

The A220 aircraft has the largest cabin and windows, as well as the widest seats in its class, offering a flying experience with superior passenger comfort. The aircraft is also an ideal complement to the fleet with the Airbus A320 Family.

To date, Airbus has received 785 orders for the A220 and delivered more than 260 aircraft of this type to customers. In the Indonesian market, Airbus already has a strong position with a total of around 180 aircraft in operation.

The A320 family is operated by Batik Air, Citilink, Indonesia AirAsia, Pelita Air, Super Air Jet and TransNusa, while Lion Air and Garuda Indonesia use the A330 family for regional and international services.
