Airbnb toggles sorting and filtering by price, including all costs – IT Pro – News

What I find very funny is that people are making such a fuss about this. Unless you’re using AirBnB for the first time, you know there are cleaning fees. I don’t think it’s a problem to be honest. What I don’t hear about is that (at least with me) very often the costs are LOWER than what is indicated in the overview card because I have chosen, for example, 7 days and the price per day then becomes lower in many cases. Perhaps the time period also plays a role. I rarely travel in peak season, so it might play a role. But since I realize that the costs are almost never those indicated on the map, I also click on the accommodation that costs more than I want to pay. It is usually lower anyway. In some cases it is correct, and then of course the cleaning costs, but usually it is not that bad. You see it right away, so if it’s exorbitant, click.
I think it’s a bit of an upside down world that a company has to adjust to a number of whiners. So don’t use that service if you don’t like it. This is how it once was. This is called competition. It gives way to a platform that does it “better”. And don’t say that there is a monopoly and that you can never intervene. It is possible, it just requires a special approach. Musk also managed to beat the established order with electric vehicles

Incidentally, I am more bothered by airlines continuing to work with bait prices. On the card they meet the criteria, as you can travel for the advertised amount. Only then no baggage apart from a handbag. So, if you choose such a ticket, you are presented with all kinds of sausages: hand luggage, seat choice, etc., which makes your trip more expensive. And sometimes they are quite clever, like offering a certain package where you have everything, while you can also choose items from that package separately, which in turn saves money. But at this point you’d have to be a Sherlock Holmes to see it, and the irritation while booking increases, leaving you tempted to just pick one thing and click Done.
It’s different on AirBnB. It’s not about prices. As soon as you click on an accommodation, you will see the exact price. You don’t always get something new and you don’t have to make hard choices. It’s not really a drama like with air travel.
