It was in the city of Victoria that Australian Steve Carey and his partner wanted to rent an apartment for a domestic holiday. When he tried to get the apartment, the host must have asked if he had been vaccinated against corona, writes The Guardian.
When Carey replied that both he and his partner had received their first bite, the host is said to have responded that she could not rent to the couple, because she thought the vaccine could lead to vaccinated infections being unvaccinated with the virus. This claim has been thoroughly refuted.
– I do not accept any vaccinated people, due to reports of side effects, the host must have said, before she continued:
– It also spreads to unvaccinated people and makes them feel unwell. I’m afraid it’s too experimental at this stage and I have to protect my other guests. I’m sorry for any inconvenience.

Subsequently, Carey reported the host to Airbnb, but was told by a contact person for the company that there was nothing in their policy that refused hosts to reject people vaccinated against corona.
When Guardian Australia contacted Airbnb for comment, the company replied that they had investigated the case and banned the host.
“After concluding our investigation into this case, we have suspended the current listing,” Derek Nolan, Airbnb’s head of public relations in Australia, told the newspaper.
– It is important that everyone follows official health advice from local authorities, while we continue to do our part to fight covid-19, he continued.
The host who was banned did not want to respond to Guardian Australia’s requests.
