Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic, said: “Over the past year, we have reviewed our products. We have introduced new ticket types, provided additional flexibility for passengers and have now increased the weight of checked baggage to a level not yet offered by airBaltic.”
Passengers with GREEN Classic and GREEN Plus reservations can now register one bag weighing up to 23 kilograms free of charge. For a family traveling with two children and four pieces of luggage, this would mean checked baggage weighing an additional 12 kilograms.
Passengers with GREEN tickets can add a checked baggage item to their reservation at an additional cost. The permissible baggage weight has also been increased for Business Class passengers, airBaltic Club members and passengers traveling with sports equipment.
airBaltic also continues to offer its passengers a heavy hand luggage service. By purchasing this service, passengers can increase the weight of their hand luggage by up to four kilograms for an additional fee of 11.99 euros. Thus, the total weight of hand luggage can be increased up to 12 kilograms.
Passenger health and safety is airBaltic’s top priority. airBaltic has implemented extensive health protection measures and organizes flights in accordance with the recommendations of the responsible authorities.
