The Latvian airline airBaltic announces that at the end of October it will start flights on a new route from Riga to Marrakech in Morocco. Marrakech is a favorite city for international travelers in Morocco. It offers easy access to the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert, as well as a number of interesting sights.
Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic, said: “We are pleased to announce our first scheduled flights to Africa. As the leading airline in the Baltics, we continue to build our strong route network, adding exciting new holiday destinations during the winter season.”
Flights between Riga and Marrakech in Morocco will be operated by Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The flight to Marrakech will take 5 hours and 30 minutes.
