In addition to its regular commercial flights, charter charter flights from West African countries to Cameroon, host country of Can. The bulk of the clientele targeted here consists mainly of delegations of supporters from the respective countries wishing to experience the competition live. “If tomorrow, for example, there are 300 Malian supporters who want to go and support their team, Air Senegal has the capacity to deploy its planes to transport these supporters to Cameroon” explained Ernest Dikoum.

In addition, given the outbreak of competition in several cities, the airline does not exclude the possibility of operating services to other international airports other than Douala where it is already present in particular in Garoua, Maroua, Bafoussam and to a lesser extent Yaoundé. “Air Senegal does not have the ambition to come and make intra Cameroon flights during the Can. This is not the objective; the objective is to bring other supporters from West Africa to Cameroon ”nevertheless specified the Marketing Director of Air Senegal. At the end of the competition, the company hopes to be able to move around ten thousand passengers.

A growing fleet
To date, Air Senegal serves 22 destinations in 15 African countries, 5 European countries and two American countries via Dakar. From September 2, the airline will connect Washington via New York at the rate of two frequencies per week.
