“Air Raid Alert Issued in Multiple Ukrainian Regions Amidst Ongoing Rocket Strikes from Russia”

As of 16.20, an air raid alert was announced in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.

Ukrainians are urged not to ignore the alarm and go to shelters.

As of 16:40 air raid alerts were canceled in the regions.

Rocket strikes on Ukraine

Since the beginning of May 2023, Russia has been shelling Ukraine almost every night. However, air defense forces manage to shoot down almost all targets. So, on May 4, it became known about the downing of the Russian Kinzhal missile. This information was later confirmed by the Air Force.

But on the night of May 16, the Russians again attacked Ukraine with “Daggers”. Then the air defense forces shot down all six enemy missiles of this type. At the same time, Russia stated that the Patriot system was allegedly destroyed during this attack in Kyiv. However, Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat denied this information, explaining that a single missile cannot do this.

It should be recalled that on Monday, May 22, the Russian military again took up the shelling of Kharkov. The sounds of explosions were heard in the city and the region, and the head of the Kharkiv OVO, Oleg Sinegubov, urged people to stay in shelters.
