Air purifiers can reduce the risk of a virus outbreak by filtering aerosols from the air. Blocken has been researching this for some time, also outside the school context. According to the researchers, the purifiers are needed to supplement existing ventilation systems. They can also contribute to better air quality after the corona pandemic, because they also filter fine dust and pollen, for example.
