The new Campus Technologies Grenoble, which brings together 1,200 employees, has just completed the construction of two first buildings as part of its renovation and extension. Alongside the five Innovation Campuses of the Air Liquide group, this site helps to imagine and manufacture innovative high-tech solutions for the developing deep tech and energy transition markets. This transformation project should be completed in 2022.
The Campus Technologies Grenoble site covers 14 hectares, including 11,000 m2 of tertiary buildings and 20,000 m2 production workshops, as well as a testing area. As part of its renovation and extension, the new Campus has just completed the construction of two first buildings. Witnesses of both architectural and industrial transformation, the new buildings, totaling around 6,000 m2, support new working methods by offering agility, flexibility, openness and transversality. The renovation of the entire Campus and its extension are continuing and should be completed in 2022.
Joining a sustainable development approach, the Campus is aiming for BREEAM certification, a certification standard relating to the environmental assessment of buildings. The latter were indeed built in such a way as to limit energy demand as well as their impact on the environment. They have a wooden structure, large glazed parts favoring the contribution of natural light, or a cooling system thanks to the circulation of water from the groundwater instead of air conditioning.
With an open innovation approach, Campus Technologies Grenoble is a place of exchange with local and international ecosystems. Founded in 1962, in Sassenage (Isère), Campus Technologies Grenoble serves customers worldwide, especially in the areas ofaeronautics, space, extreme cryogenics for scientific research and industry, and new energies such as hydrogen and biomethane.
Emilie Mouren-Renouard, member of the Air Liquide Executive Committee, in charge of Innovation, Digital and IT, Intellectual Property, as well as Global Markets & Technologies activity, declared:
“This new Campus offers a stimulating work environment for our employees, conducive to the development of talents. Like the Group’s other Innovation Campuses in Europe, the United States and Asia, it is largely open to the ecosystems that surround us. With this new Campus, we will be able to further accelerate the design, industrialization and manufacture of technological solutions for our customers in the deep tech and energy transition markets, in line with our resolute commitment to sustainable growth. “
