New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed Air India to suspend the entire crew after a female friend was brought inside the pilot’s cockpit during a flight. Related sources said that the action will be taken till the investigation is completed. The incident took place on a Dubai-Delhi Air India flight on February 27.

Sources concerned said that although there is no prima facie evidence that other employees are involved in the action, the DGCA has decided to stay away till the investigation is over. The pilot has also been suspended. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation had ordered an inquiry into the alleged violation of safety norms in the incident.
