After taking over the Tata group, Air India has made a historic move. 500 airliners will be purchased. According to media reports, the decision is to purchase airliners from Airbus and Boeing.
The decision is to purchase 400 narrow-body jets and 100 or more wide-body jets, including Airbus A350s, Boeing 787s and 777s. More information on this is reported to be released in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Airbus and Boeing declined to comment on the news. Tata Group did not respond on the matter.
