Air Hostess Arrested for Smuggling Liquid Marijuana in Cosmetic Containers at Incheon Airport, South Korea

Two air hostess Vietnamese airline arrested upon arrival in Incheon Airport South Korea. They smuggled liquid marijuana wrapped in cosmetic containers.

Reporting from Vietnam Express on Saturday (9/9/2023), no half-hearted ganja The smuggled liquid was worth 300 million won or around Rp. 3.4 billion and was put into 50 cosmetic containers in April 2023.

This case was only opened to the public because representatives of the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority admitted that they had not received an announcement about this case from the Vietnamese or South Korean police.

The two flight attendants were in their 20s. They face charges in violation of South Korea’s Narcotics Control Act.

During the police investigation, two flight attendants denied the allegations. They admitted that they were just orders from an acquaintance. They don’t know that the cosmetics contain drugs.

“It’s common for flight attendants to carry items for delivery,” the flight attendant said.

Instead, a flight attendant will be paid Won 68,000 or around Rp. 782 thousand per order. This amount is certainly not a small amount, but they admitted that they were not suspicious.

Now the police will continue to investigate the two flight attendants. The investigation was expanded to determine whether they also participated in this case.

Authorities have ordered all airlines to verify the incident.

“Anyone who breaks the law will be dealt with firmly and there will be no cover-up,” said an authority representative.

Bamboo Airways and Vietjet Air confirmed that their crew was not involved in this case. Meanwhile Vietnam Airlines said it was waiting for further verification.
