While the airline Air France has not scheduled any flights to Algeria for this early summer due to the closure of the borders between Algeria and France, the destination Algeria is part of the company’s program for the September. In fact, Air France has included Algeria in its program for the start of autumn.
Air France account serve theAlgeria as soon as the borders reopen. Alger is one of the destinations selected by the company in its flight strengthening program. It plans to gradually increase the number of frequencies and destinations. This increase should reach, at the end of September, 50% of the program initially planned, and 60% towards the end of October.
The airline plans to expand the destinations served. It intends to extend its list to nearly 170 destinations at the end of the summer 2020 season. Indeed, from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the company intends to approach its full capacity, while it will considerably increase the number of its medium and long-haul routes as well as the number of frequencies to the vast majority of destinations.
Algeria, destination conditioned by the opening of borders
It should be noted that with regard to the destination Algeria, Air France, like other companies, await the decision of the Algerian authorities to open the borders. A decision that depends on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
It should be remembered that the French company started online reservations. The company clarified that the situation was complex, indicating that “since May 15, if the customer cannot leave because of the sanitary conditions, he can either change the flight, or be reimbursed, or obtain an enhanced credit of 15 % for a later trip ”.
