Air France presents its winter flights to the United States and Canada

After a summer that marked a strong recovery in demand, Air France presented its plans for the winter season 2022-2023. The airline plans to serve 171 destinations, including 86 long-haul and 85 short- and medium-haul, with similar capacity levels to winter 2019.

As previously announced, the airline will debut its flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Newark (EWR), the second largest international airport serving New York and surrounding areas, starting December 12, 2022.

It will be a daily flight operated by Boeing 777-200 (ER), which will mark Air France’s return to Newark after 10 years. will join the service “Shuttle” between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York-John F. Kennedy (JFK), which has 6 daily flights operated by Air France and 2 by its partner Delta Air Lines.

In the Caribbean, and for the second consecutive winter, starting October 22, Air France will operate a direct service between Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) and Montreal (Canada) with two weekly flights on Airbus A320 aircraft.

First flight of the Boeing 777 with new business seats

The airline will launch the new long-haul cabins later this year. Gradually, new Business seats will be installed on twelve Boeing 777-300 (ER) seats that transform into a real bed of almost 2 meters in length.

The 48 Business Class seats will have a sliding door for privacy. All stations will have access to the corridor, a 17.3 “screen with an entertainment system consisting of over 350 films, series, documentaries, music and podcasts, Wi-Fi, USB port, among other services.

The first flight will take place in the first weeks of autumn to New York-JFK.

Air France is the leading French airline in both North American countries, where it will have up to 348 weekly flights for the upcoming winter season.

The company will operate in Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago / O’Hare (ORD), Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA ), Newark (EWR), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA) and Washington / Dulles (IAD) in the United States; and Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR) in Canada.

From Paris / Charles de Gaulle (CDG) they will have the following frequencies:

  • Atlanta (ATL), 14 weekly flights on Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
  • Boston (BOS), 7 weekly flights on Boeing 787-9.
  • Chicago / O’Hare (ORD), 7 weekly flights on Boeing 787-9.
  • Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW), 3 weekly flights on Boeing 777-200 (ER).
  • Detroit (DTW), 7 weekly flights on Boeing 777-200 (ER).
  • Houston (IAH), 7 weekly flights on Airbus A350-900.
  • Los Angeles (LAX), 19 weekly flights on Boeing 777-200 / 300 (ER).
  • Miami (MIA), 14 weekly flights on Boeing 777-200 / 300 (ER).
  • New York (JFK), 42 weekly flights on Boeing 777-300 (ER) and A350-900.
  • Newark (EWR), 7 weekly flights on Boeing 777-200 (ER).
  • San Francisco (SFO), 7 weekly flights on Boeing 777-300 (ER).
  • Seattle (SEA), 3 weekly flights on Boeing 777-200 (ER).
