Air France-KLM: workforce reductions at Air France and HOP!

(CercleFinance.com) – Air France-KLM announced on Friday evening the presentation by its subsidiaries Air France and HOP !, to their employee representatives, of their strategic directions and the prospects for adapting the workforce following the health crisis.

For Air France, projections of workforce requirements show a drop of 6,560 jobs by the end of 2022 out of a current total of 41,000. The more than 3,500 natural departures planned for the period will make up for more than half of this reduction.

For HOP !, the resizing of the activity and the restructuring of the company lead to a reduction of 1,020 jobs out of 2,420 over the three-year horizon. Taking into account the estimated natural departures, the overstaffing remains around 820 at the end of 2022.
