Air France-KLM publishes winter flight schedule until the end of 2020

Air France and KLM have further adjusted their winter flight schedules until the end of the year. Due to the current travel restrictions, the French airline will operate 50 percent of its flights scheduled for November and December 2020. At KLM, the planned capacity is currently around 55 percent of that of 2019.

In Germany, Air France and KLM fly eight and ten airports respectively. Air France will start four times a day from Berlin in November and probably also in December 2020, up to four times from Munich and three times each from Frankfurt and Hamburg to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. From Düsseldorf it goes up to three times, from Hanover and Stuttgart up to twice and from Nuremberg once a day to Paris. The Bremen-Paris connection is temporarily suspended.

KLM will fly four times a day from Berlin and Munich in November and probably also in December 2020 and three times from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart to Amsterdam-Schiphol. It also starts twice a day from Nuremberg, once each from Bremen and Hanover and five times a week from Dresden to the Netherlands.

Long haul

By the end of the year, Air France will serve 170 destinations (almost its entire regular winter route network) according to demand. Long-haul capacity will be further increased. This is especially true for destinations in the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean. From December 17, 2020 and for the rest of the winter season, in addition to its connections from Paris-Orly, the airline will also offer connections from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) and Fort-de-France (Martinique) . In total, there are up to three daily flights between Paris and each of the two islands. From both hubs in France, customers can connect to the entire short, medium and long-haul network of Air France.

KLM serves 80 percent of its destinations on long-haul routes with a capacity of 60 percent. Currently, only cargo is carried on a third of these intercontinental flights. Therefore the seating capacity is very small. KLM will again carry passengers on these flights as soon as local travel regulations permit.

From the beginning of September KLM started again twice a week from Amsterdam-Schiphol via Seoul-Incheon in South Korea to the Chinese city of Hangzhou and also twice a week to Cairo. Riyadh will also be added to the KLM network as a new destination (the originally planned start on September 26th was postponed to December 7th). On October 29, KLM will again fly from Amsterdam-Schiphol to Calgary and on to Edmonton and from there back to Amsterdam.

Europe

In Europe, Air France flies to 67 destinations, which corresponds to its entire route network for this time of year. It serves 43 destinations within France from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Lyon Saint-Exupéry, most of them daily.

KLM served almost 100 percent of the destinations on its European route network in August, with capacity around 60 percent compared to pre-COVID-19 levels. In September, KLM put the planned upscaling on hold due to adjusted travel warnings. The quarantine regulations in Great Britain had a particularly strong impact. Gradual increases in frequencies or capacity expansion through the use of larger aircraft are gradually being considered.

Flight schedules are subject to change and are still subject to required regulatory approval. The current health and hygiene measures in the various countries or travel destinations are taken into account.
