Air Europa plans to expand its portfolio of destinations during 2023 by establishing new commercial relationships with other airlines. It currently operates a network of 112 destinations in 35 countries thanks to agreements with around twenty airlines, but expects an increase in the number. (Air Europa splits into two El Prat routes dominated by Vueling and Ryanair)
In this sense, the Globalia company is committed to two lines of growth in shared code. On the one hand, it will continue with intermodal agreements, which make it possible to combine air and rail services. In fact, it has already signed one with the Iryo high-speed train company. It is also studying the expansion of this type of collaboration with other companies on the continent.
The second line involves offering more destinations through existing agreements and signing others with new companies to expand its network. They will focus especially on Latin America, as it is their main market, but they will not forget Europe, North America or Asia.
“In this way, Air Europa’s customers will have a greater selection of destinations, guaranteeing the same quality standards of service with all its partners to offer the customer the best travel experience”, underlines the company.
It should be noted that, during 2022, the company has already recovered all the codeshare agreements it had in 2019. It has also been allowed to sign new collaborations with Kuwait Airways and the Brazilian Azul, which are promoting its growth in Latin America and the Middle East Middle.
