Late this evening, Saturday, the Syrian air defenses repelled an Israeli bombardment in the sky of the capital, Damascus, according to what was reported by the Sputnik correspondent.
And the Sputnik correspondent quoted a high-ranking Syrian security source as saying that enemy Israeli planes fired a number of missiles at some sites southwest of the capital, Damascus.
The source added, “The interceptor missiles of the Syrian Air Defense Forces are confronting an Israeli aggression on the vicinity of the Syrian capital, Damascus,” noting that “they were able to shoot down most of them before they reached their target.”
He continued, “The technical and engineering teams have started work on counting the damages resulting from this aggression, in preparation for announcing it officially,” while our correspondent indicated that material and human damage occurred in a building in the “Kfar Sousa” neighborhood in Damascus as a result of the Israeli aggression.
A source in the Syrian Ministry of Interior confirmed to Sputnik that a number of civilians had risen and others were injured as a result of the Israeli aggression on a number of residential neighborhoods in Damascus.
