Air Bank increased its profit by eight percent

“The bank’s revenues in connection with the economic impact of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic in the Czech Republic remained at the same level year-on-year, but as in the previous quarter, Air Bank managed to further reduce operating costs,” the bank said in a press release.

The bank reduced its administrative and overhead costs by 8 percent year on year to 1.1 billion. Net revenues amounted to 2.6 billion crowns, the same as a year ago.

The volume of client deposits increased by 13 percent year-on-year to 118.4 billion crowns, while the volume of loans then increased by 11 percent to 58 billion.

Air Bank’s total assets, ie the sum of its assets or liabilities, rose by 15 percent year on year to 132.7 billion. The bank’s equity is currently 24 percent higher than a year ago, when it reached 11 billion crowns.

At the end of September, the number of the bank’s clients increased by 11 percent year-on-year to 847,092. These clients have a total of 962,552 current accounts and 542,039 savings accounts with the bank. The number of current accounts thus increased by 12 percent year-on-year and the number of savings accounts by 13 percent.
