Air Bank, Fio banka and MONETA have agreed to establish a joint platform to provide banking identity in the Czech Republic. The platform will also be open to all other domestic banks.
From the point of view of banking identity alone, the clients involved in the banks will not make a significant difference. This is because each bank itself will offer the services of a banking identity to its clients, only when dealing with online service providers will the bank represent the first newly formed alliance. The founding companies of the alliance are convinced that the principle of open and equal ownership of the platform in the field of digital identity can provide the best services. In the newly established alliance, all banks involved will be able to contribute to the further development of banking identity in the Czech Republic at the same time.
The so-called banking identity will be used in the Czech Republic from January 2021. Through it, banks’ clients gain a universal digital identity to gain access to a wide range of services, both in the public and private spheres.
