The Latvian airline ‘Air Baltic’ AirBaltic will add flights to Israel for the summer. Air Baltic currently operates 3 weekly flights between Riga and Tbilisi. For the winter they will reduce next month to two weekly flights, but in the spring they will already operate 4 weekly flights starting in April.
The flights will take off from Tel Aviv on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 06:40 in the morning, and will land in Riga at 11:15. The flights from Riga to Tel Aviv will take off on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m., and will land in Tel Aviv at 03 :50 at night.
Air Baltic’s flights are very popular among the Israeli religious public, thanks to convenient and cheap connecting flights from Riga to Vilna, the city of the Gra.
In addition, it is worth noting that Air Baltic planes were chosen as the most spacious and comfortable in a competition survey of our website Jewish Traveler among all the airlines that fly from Israel. Air Baltic offers the best passenger cabin in tourist class, on its Airbus A220 aircraft. Two seats on one side of the aisle, and three on the other side. The width of the seat is 18.5 inches, and the space between the rows is very generous and reaches 32 inches, more than all the other airlines surveyed.
