A police officer at the Belawan Harbor Police, Aipda Roni Syahputra, was sentenced to death. He was found guilty of committing murder viciously plotting against two women.
Roni’s murder case was revealed after the discovery of two dead women. One woman was found in Medan and another in Serdang Bedagai (Sergai).
The discovery of the body occurred in February 2021. The following is the case for this case as described in the prosecutor’s indictment.
The Beginning of Murder Happens
The prosecutor said that this case began when victims R and A came to the Belawan Harbor Police on February 13, 2021. R was said to have asked Roni about the items that were deposited for prisoners.

According to the prosecutor, Roni was interested in R. He then asked R to meet, but was rejected.
Roni again invited R to meet on February 20, 2021. At that time, Roni contacted R and said that the item he had asked about earlier was in his possession. Roni, R, and A then met in front of the Belawan Harbor Police Station.
After that, Roni invited R into his car. R had asked where they were going. Roni then gave a reason why he wanted to take his cellphone and money at the ATM until finally R and A joined.
Roni then drove his car near one of the hotels in Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang. While still in the car, Roni was said to have harassed R by holding her breasts.
Prosecutor calls R and A against Roni. Roni then hit A until the victim’s head hit the car seat. Roni also hit R with the handcuffs that were on dashboard his car.
After that, Roni handcuffed R and A’s hands. He was also said to have covered the mouths of the two victims with tissue and taped the mouths and eyes of the victims. Roni then molested the victim R.
Roni then took the two of them to a hotel on Jalan Jamin Ginting. Hotel rooms at this location are usually separate and vehicles can be parked in front of them.
