Padang Pariaman — In order to strengthen efforts to deal with Polio Extraordinary Events (KLB), Lubuk Alung Police, Padang Pariaman Police, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) Regional Police together with the sub-district government and Babinsa carried out monitoring of the launching of PIN (National Immunization Week) Polio in Nagari Sungai Abang, Tuesday morning March 7 2023, at Berlian Korong Rimbo Panjang Posyandu, Nagari Sungai Abang, Lubuk Alung District, Padang Pariaman Regency.
At that time Ps.Kapolsek Lubuk Alung, Iptu Arvi Yandri represented by Aipda Ayulisman, Bhabinkamtibmas Nagari Sungai Abang, carried out activities to accompany the Lubuk Alung Community Health Center Health Team in the context of Polio Immunization for children aged 0-59 months to be free from polio.
Said Iptu Arvi Yandri who was contacted by Pionir, Thursday 9 March 2023, the Polio PIN activity aims to strengthen efforts to deal with Extraordinary Events (KLB) which are being carried out due to findings regarding the Polio case.
“Polio immunization is an effort to protect the body from polio. This disease is a dangerous disease and can be experienced by anyone, but it is more common in toddlers. Therefore, every parent needs to be aware of it,” said Arvi Yandri.
Arvi Yandri said, according to health workers, Polio is a disease caused by infection with the polio virus. The spread of this virus generally occurs through consumption of water or food contaminated with the polio virus or direct contact with the feces of polio sufferers.
“According to Lubuk Alung Health Center health workers, polio can cause permanent paralysis, even death. Therefore, polio immunization is an effective way to prevent polio and its complications.
