The Basque soprano Ainhoa Arteta and the musician Joe Crepúsculo have joined forces for solidarity purposes to interpret a particular version of the classic Christmas carol ‘Silent Night. The song, entitled ‘Noche de Unión’ and produced by the Catalan artist, fuses indie, electronic and opera style. The entire collection of the royalties will be donated to the NGO Aldeas Infantiles SOS to support the children most vulnerable due to the health crisis.
He remake of this well-known Christmas carol, already available on the platforms Youtube and on Spotify, is interpreted by the unmistakable voice of the Gipuzkoan Ainhoa Arteta, who provides the lyrical key to an electronic composition designed and produced by the Catalan indie musician. Under the motto ‘a different Christmas carol for a different Christmas’, the telephone operator Yoigo has brought these two artists together for this peculiar musical collaboration.
For its creation, both artists have contributed their distinctive touch. Ainhoa Arteta, one of the great values of opera worldwide, the electronic composition of the Christmas carol fits into a lyrical key. For his part, Joe Crepúsculo, who has just presented his new pop album entitled ‘Supercrepus II’, has been in charge of the rhythm and production of the song. With his talent for melody and chorus, he has adapted the song to a new style, immersing the classic night of peace and love in his particular electronic dance factory.
