On Friday, September 10, musician Ainars Mielavs celebrated his 61st birthday. To make the momentum of this celebration more musical, a video of the title song of Ainars’ last studio album “220 volts” was released.
On September 10, a year ago, on the singer’s Ainars Mielavas’ 60th birthday, his album “220 volts” was released, but Ainars welcomed his next anniversary with a music video for the title track. This clip is the simplicity itself, even without a director, only with the camera men Jānis Eglītis and Ritvars Bluks. “I’m just trying to be true – both in art and in life,” Ainars told LTV “Rīta Panorāmai”. It should be noted that Mielavs has still not given up on the idea of his round anniversary tour, which has been postponed twice – the songwriter together with his new “combo” Rūdolfs Macats, Kaspars Vizulis, Rinalds Maksimovs and Reins Ozoliņš is determined to realize this December. “I hope to celebrate it with the third visit,” smiled Ainars. “And I hope that this time the tour will take place and the green zone in music and art will not be abolished.”
