Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Joy Mathew has teased the finance department’s decision to raise the salary of state youth commission chairman Chinta Jerome. She sarcastically wrote on Facebook that kids who waste money, time and energy on grades and grades should aim for youth committee status and have a bright future. Meanwhile, last month, the finance department gave approval to raise Chinta Jerome’s salary from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Chinta’s salary was said to have been increased following the intervention of Minister Mohammad Riaz. Chinta Jerome became the chairman of the State Youth Commission in October 2016. The new decision is to pay Rs 1 lakh from October 2016. With this, Chinta could get Rs 37 lakh in wage arrears.
