AIK has minus statistics in the previous home premieres against IFK Norrköping and only recorded 2W-3O-4F. The worst blow for Gnaget came on August 2, 1957 when the visitors won by a whopping 5-0, but even June 17, 2020 was bad from AIK’s point of view when Beijing at the Friends Arena led 4-0 after 32 minutes of play and the match finally ended 1–4 after Henok Goitom’s header reduction in the final minutes.
AIK and IFK Norrköping also met in 2022 in the second round at Friends Arena. The date was also April 10 and the home team won 1–0 after a goal by Alexander Milošević when, in the 15th minute of the match, he headed in a right corner from Jordan Larsson in front of Norra stå.
AIK’s biggest victory in a home opener against IFK Norrköping was recorded in the Allsvenskan opener in 1988 when they won 2–0 in front of 5,354 spectators at the Råsunda football stadium, which is incidentally the worst attendance figure in AIK’s home openers against Beijing, covid restrictions counted out.
