AIK can exhale.
The important midfielder Anton Salétros has no serious knee injury.
Anton Salétros was forced to leave the match against Elfsborg after getting stuck in a shoelace.
A nervous wait then followed for AIK’s supporters, but now it is clear that Salétros does not seem to be gone for long.
AIK gives an injury update on its website.
“After an examination, it can be established that Anton suffered a minor knee injury and is now in rehab training to hopefully soon be back in the game again”writes the club.
“One in a thousand”
Saletros spoke to Sportbladet about the injury immediately after the match.
– I’ll get stuck in Simon Hedlund’s shoelace and then we’ll go in different directions. Then something happened, he said.
Extreme bad luck?
– Yes. It’s one in a thousand that you get caught in someone’s shoelace and get hurt.
Supported by the girlfriend
AIK’s next match is an important bottom match against Halmstads BK on Sunday.
Salétros has not commented on the relief after the news, but girlfriend Johanna Rytting Kaneryd talked about him during Wednesday’s press meeting with the women’s national team.
– We talk extremely much and he is an incredible person. Incredibly determined and always looking ahead. The first thing he talked about when he went out was the Halmstad match. He is very passionate about AIK and does everything for that club, says Rytting Kaneryd.
